This. IS NOT A RANT :D HOORAY

lots of things crashing down on me recently.

I'll promise-- this won't be a rant. I should start on a legitimate blog post.

I have EOY so I have to study. And at the same time I've got inspiration for a work in Chinese. CHINESE.
It's really rare that I get such inspiration for Chinese. Seeing how I'm not so fluent in it anyway.
But I really got it and I'm afraid of letting it go away. Like, just vanish up into last gasps of the burning cigarette.
Idek.

It's about dreams, and I think I'll just be writing about a girl

  • has a talent (like most other main characters. duh.) for drawing and she loves drawing (she wants to be an artist, but such a career is frowned upon) but she can't really afford to draw and has to study really hard for scholarships because she...
  • comes from a broken family. Her father is nowhere to be found, her mother suffers from an illness.
  • Mother dies, she breaks down, but mother left something
  • "go find your father. Tell him the dream has not died yet. Tell him that in the end, dreams never die. That even though we never see our dreams, they're still there. They're still alive. They're still there, in the end."
  • she goes on an adventure, through a portal--like it just brings her away from reality.
  • aaaaand. she meets this strange creature and she goes on with it, because she wants to and she can't turn back any longer.
  • along the way she realises she can't draw--everything is forced and it just doesn't work.
  • the ending is still... kinda. undecided. :)
I'll post it on the other blog for Chinese if I can.
yeah.
okay :D
no rants.
just nice, fluffy stuff.
I think I did something with my facebook while I was high on coffee just now--thirty minutes ago, but I can't remember.
And I can't access facebook for some reason.
ohkay.
I'm starting to panic. What did I do now-

YAY I AM SUGAR HIGH

Decided to do stretching in the middle of the night.

I FEEL SO AWESOME NOW.

All those people I have thought of as normal...
well, let's just say most of them were insane to begin with.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE NORMAL!"

Of course, I have a sane and matured side too.
It just... it just never comes out.

We're marchin' on!

Our first--well, it's not actually official--CCA session without the sec 4s.
WE NEEDED THEIR HELP.
Okay, maybe not.

But as we removed the exhibition, it felt like...
it felt as though the sec4 seniors should have been there too. Like, witnessing the 'birth' and 'death' of their last exhibition... It was rather sad. I mean, that was our nicest exhibition yet D:
And they removed it D:

IT WAS AWESOME. IT SHOULD HAVE STAYED THERE FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER.

I SHALL TYPE IN CAPS BECAUSE I LIKE THE WAY THE WORDS LOOK! :D
BUT ANYWAY.

TOMORROW'S THE FUNFAIR, I SHOULD BE SLEEPING, BUT I'M... WELL, GOING TO SCHOOL LATER THAN USUAL.

WHEEEEE. IT'S ANOTHER RED-AND-WHITE BE YOURSELF DAY.
HOW FUN~! :D
WE'RE GOING TO SELL CHEESE FRIES AND HOT DOGS.
I THINK I'LL STICK TO THE ES CCA BOOTH BECAUSE I AM 无家可归 XD

BELOW: NYES SPRING AND WINTER VERSION. I DON'T DARE TO POST IT ON FACEBOOK.

WINTER IS, ADMITTEDLY NICER. BUT STILL...
WHAT ABOUT AUTUMN AND SUMMER? I'M KINDA STUCK.
LIKE, HOW DO I EVEN DRAW THE FRIGGIN AUTUMN LEAF?
I THINK I'LL NEED TO USE PHOTOSHOP INSTEAD OF MURO FOR THIS.
SUMMER...
OH YES I HAVE AN IDEA
WHEEEEEEEEE~

LET'S HOPE IT WILL WORK.
THEN AUTUMN FOR THE LASTTTTTT~
YAYYAY
WISH ME LUCK.

...
NO, DON'T.
YOU'D BE WASTING IT.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

OKAY I SHALL EMBARK ON A JOURNEY TO DESIGN ANOTHER ONE.
SUMMER. IN PROGRESS.

*Edit: NYES--Summer is the only one (yet) to require a shitty blueprint. =.=

Pictur-y :D

Which one is better?

Trying out the Steampunk look

I hope I've gotten it right! The steampunk effect-look kinda thingy.

Aargh, the images are so blurry!
The rectangularish legs. Fish-netting, a little of the lacey parts of this...

THE DRESS. :D With chains and ribbons and laces and stripes. But you can't really see it well.
Personally, I find the right hand design far worse than the left hand one. Ooh, looky at all the wire-ish elements!

The full image, no space for legs :D

The hair reminds me of Cleopatra. She's Faceless! LE GASP.

This is just a close up of the top part of the dress. Very extra. :D
Tralalala. I hope I'll be able to work on more steampunk designs (considering that this is counted as 'steampunk'.) I fell out of Lolita designs already. Maybe I'll create a fusion between the two?
Tralalala. And now I've mastered another type of eye design! :D yay :D

To the picture (it was clear on my phone...) : Y U NO CLEAR?

haha, but everything's alright other than that :D
I wanna keep drawing~! ^^

Save Miku

Miku Hatsune, world's number one diva. She is respected and loved by many around the world. We, the fans of Hatsune Miku, are the ones who power the creativity of Miku. We support her and the other VOCALOIDS and in that turn, more people are spurred to innovate, create and inspire others about the wonders of VOCALOID.

I disagree with those who claim VOCALOID's music (it's a synthesizer programme) is fake music because after all, what is music? Music refers to something pleasant as compared to it's antonym, 'noise'. Music is something that touches people's hearts and evokes some kind of emotions, leaving an impact on the listener.

Now, high-rated Hatsune Miku (VOCALOID) videos are being reported under copyright infringement. How or who is the culprit, we do not know.

Let's save Miku, let's not abandon her again (reference to Disappearance of Hatsune Miku).
:D Miku fan volunteers have started a kind of campaign to stop VOCALOID videos on media stations from disappearing. They are currently investigating the culprit but most think of it as an action by an organised group.

Above is a rough sketch of Miku, although it doesn't really look like her...
Thus, this is my support for the campaign (unofficially, tho)
Save Miku. Save VOCALOID.

Pencils

Pencils are so lovely. Each and every one of them is special, gives out a special feel that urges me to draw, anything on a piece of paper. A sharp pencil can be used to write, dancing across the paper with words. The words are etched onto the paper and even though it may be erased, the marks are still there. However, the lead breaks easily, thus the sharp pencil is deemed fragile in my opinion, so gentle yet harsh with its marks.

A blunt pencil can be used to sketch, the creases of the lines evident. The lines are bolded, light and yet soft. A finger that smoothens the line out smudges it, giving the whole sketch a different image, looking old but radiant. Although it dirties the finger, the feeling of the lead smudged onto the soft paper is something so beautiful that words cannot describe the feeling.

Pencils are not like pens. They seem elegant and simple, not sophisticated at all. Pens give a totally different feel to the user, as they seem less casual and relaxed. The ink of a pen does not give the user the satisfaction which is given by a pencil to sketch. The lines of the pencil may be erased, so simply. The best pencils are usually wooden, as they do not cut the paper like the mechanical ones. The lines drawn are light and soft. They are not dark grey but are of a lighter colour, a little like silver. Silver is not like grey. Silver is bright, less dull and shines a little due to the reflection of light.

The lines sketched by a pencil may be hesitant, light. Extra shading may be required to bolden the line. The shading of the shadows of a person makes the drawing seem a little more real. By smudging the lines together, a darker shadow is formed, highlighting the aspect where the shadow is shaded at.

I love to draw, using wooden pencils, shading in the thin collar bones of the person, then adding a soft touch of shadow below them. The pencil can be manipulated to draw thin and thick lines, sharp pencils used to emphasise on the eye lashes and the eyebrows are emphasised with a blunt pencil, the thick lines falling over one another. The pencil can also be used to shade in the eyes, creating different impacts with a darker tone and a lighter tone.

I love pencils.
